MSU English 432: Shakespearean Insult Generator

Sunday, January 22, 2006. This thing rules. Not sure if anyone else posted it yet but everyone should spend several minutes a day with it. Every time you refresh your browser it generates a new funny insult. Press the F5 key to refresh your internet browser and see a new insult! If the F5 key doesn't seem to refresh the page, click on the middle of the page with your mouse to make sure you have the window selected. Then F5 will work. Don't worry, it's clean. (just maybe not for Shakespeare).

MSU English 432: Recognition Moment & Final Paper

http://msuenglish432.blogspot.com/2006/04/recognition-moment-final-paper.html

Sunday, April 23, 2006. Recognition Moment and Final Paper. My own personal recognition scene occurred in the library and it was mythical. I was walking aimlessly throughout the stacks finding books for papers which aim to kill me when I forgot myself. What will I write? How will I deal with my topics? And this Shakespeare paper which is supposed to be so easy because it’s short, it isn’t so easy because it IS short. In this bewildered state I wandered until I found myself surrounded by different color.

Neither a borrower nor a lender be; For loan oft loses both itself and friend, and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry". - Hamlet (Act I, Scene III). Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Although the competition was pretty stiff I think the third guest speaker rose to the occasion. He obviously has a passion for Shakespeare a gift to share it with others. Content has not been lacking from any of our presenters, but I feel that the passion that he displayed blows the other speakers out of the water. The tradit...

If the saying all that is past possesses our present is true, it should be able to survive a good testing. Though it sounds good and I initially want to agree with it, I am a critic at heart. Throughout the semester we have read about what awful things can happen if you test the gods and I’m not about to make an example out of myself. I tested it and it’s true. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I've been busily working away at my paper since spring break and have not updated my blog accordingly. I have notes for several fun blog posts but I'm going to delay them until after I'm finished with my writing. It really is the priority. I find I'm kind of shy about sharing poetry when it feels "rough". Even though I'm nowhere near finished, I should have some good selections of my poem which will remain largely unchanged at this point. So, until I'm finished with my paper.
