CHEMTD: A Lazy Monday
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-lazy-monday.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. This morning we had our recently-perfected, $4 family breakfast of three Thai sausage omelettes on rice, two orders of guava, and two orders of pineapple. I am really enjoying these light, healthy breakfasts; especially because we had a feast last night. Maybe we should talk about that first. It's really going to be hard to go home after this. I chose a couple of little soft shelled turtles because they were cheaper than the adult turtles, would be fun for the kids to hold, and w...

CHEMTD: The Train to Chiang Mai
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-train-to-chiang-mai.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. The Train to Chiang Mai. Our train left Bangkok at 10pm and didn't pull into the Chiang Mai station until 1:30pm the next day, so it felt like another day of travelling. The top bunk was a little warm at night but it is right next to the ceiling fan so, not too bad. This is how the car looked with all of the beds made up. We all slept great but woke up feeling a little grimy. I am used to seeing these "song taew" trucks operating like a bus route between two points where people ge...

CHEMTD: A Day of Travelling
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-day-of-travelling.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. A Day of Travelling. Everything went great Sunday night and we were able to leave the house without forgetting anything important. I'm sure that there are a lot of important things that we will come to wish we had brought; but so far, leaving them at home was intentional. Our shuttle to the airport picked us up right on time and despite the high level of excitement, Deacon managed to fall asleep during the van ride. This proved to be a common theme for every leg of the trip.

CHEMTD: June 2015
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Everyone loves being on summer holidays! The boys spent the entire day playing Rayman Legends and Ella spent the day doing, uh, whatever it is that she does. They've earned a break though because they all did awesome this year. First off, Deacon achieved his Kindergarten Diploma and despite what Bob Parr would have said about such an award, Deacon looked super cute in his mortar board. Not even the challenges of Jr. High are enough to stop this family. Ella was chosen as th...Becau...

CHEMTD: August 2015
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2015. One of the children's parks we came across in our wanderings. I only included this photo so I could show the next one. A park sponsored by Michelin - who knew tires could be so much fun! Are you seeing this Sam? After that, I had to ask Heather to read the prayer. I have always loved it and have always felt the spirit of it, but today was a special experience to visit the actual site where then,. Hinkley said, "And now, Father, in the authority of the Holy Priesthood, even the au...

CHEMTD: Only a Few Hours Left
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015/08/only-few-hours-left.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Only a Few Hours Left. Despite all of our planning, yesterday was a busy day with last minute preparations. One of the last things on our list was to give Orco a bath and clip his nails before we dropped him off at our friends house. We are so glad that he has healed up good as new, but it will still be tough to be away from him for a month. A month in Thailand.you guys packed good! Hope your flights all go smoothly today! Cant wait to hear youve arrived safely! Red White and Blue.

CHEMTD: December 2013
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 6, 2013. Here are the first pics of our new four month old chihuahua/dachshund cross - a breed that has been nicknamed "chiweanie". Deacon wanted to call him "Fluffy" but we convinced him that it could be a middle name instead. We took a family vote on different names and everyone seemed to like my reference to the big-eared magician/comedian in the old He-Man cartoons. Heather was so sweet to not only let us get a dog, but actually suggest the idea. She is such a softy.

CHEMTD: July 2015
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Camping and a Close Call. I had a few days off at the start of this week so we loaded up our camping things and headed out to our favorite spot. Heather's family were coming out to join us so we started out by finding a couple of nice sites in the nearly empty campground. Orco had walked under the picnic bench and approached the deer to say hi. Saturday, July 18, 2015. It has been a really hectic month for us. Most of my days off have been filled with extra work or travelling...

CHEMTD: Church in Chiang Mai
http://chadnheather.blogspot.com/2015/08/church-in-chiang-mai.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Church in Chiang Mai. And now it came to pass that as Alma was journeying from the land of Gideon southward, away to the land of Manti, behold, to his astonishment, he met with the sons of Mosiah journeying towards the land of Zarahemla. He suggested that he keep Deacon until we return for the open house. Tanis, John and Family. I am LOVING how enchanted everyone seems with Deacon! Our family is going to have a lot of fun today catching up on all of your previous posts!
