Scratchings from an Urban Chicken Farmer. Raising two children on 1/2 acre of land. Update and a few pics. Positive Changes →. Update as of 1-5-17 (2017 already? January 6, 2017. It is past time to post updates of my three projects that are currently getting attention. The reason for the delay is because I have been busily working on each one and it was more important to work on them and actually be able to show progress than to just say I was slowly getting somewhere. Newer posts →. February 12, 2017. There does seem to be a few Sketchbooks featuring here at the moment, there’s the international one organised by Anne Lawson in Australia. Showing all the pages so far, so have a look what everyone else has been doing. Of course I needed to make my sketchbook pretty 🙂. I thought it would look rather pretty on the front of my book. Elephant Baby Quilt – Petals and Pins
https://petalsandpins.wordpress.com/2016/12/22/elephant-baby-quilt
December 22, 2016. December 22, 2016. As mentioned before, there were a couple of whole cloth baby quilts that I made last month. I showed you the butterfly quilt a couple of weeks ago and I’m happy to now show you the second, an elephant baby quilt. This blanket was probably the quickest quilt I’ve ever made! I did my best to stay in between the traveling elephants. For the binding I found a tone on tone grey floral print, which paired nicely. I didn’t realize that this was a wide fabric a...SAL Update ...

Jan's Ramblings: February 2015
http://jan-ramblings.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 23 February 2015. I have always been someone who gets inspiration for my crafting from others, I am always more productive if people around me are creating wonderful designs and since joining the blogging community at the beginning of the year I have been inspired by photos that others have posted on their blogs. This design came from an old copy of New Stitches magazine. This is just a very small and varied sample of designs I have stitched in the past. Having had a bit of fun this last week wit...

Beads, Charms, Wire…. 8230; and all things ornamental. So I made a Kumihimo bracelet. November 8, 2016. Oh, and I made a Kumihimo. Disc to make the bracelet with.😉. Tired of searching for a Kumihimo foam disc here in India, and wanting to avoid ordering internationally due to all the hassles involved, I decided I’d just make my own from cardboard, since my Kumihimo plans for the near future anyway do not involve thicker cords. I was so excited to finally try out Kumihimo that I quickly made an 8-strand.

Friday, 28 August 2015. Holiday in East Devon, Part 1. Well, it has been a while since my last blog post. We have been away for a fortnight in beautiful East Devon and since getting back a week ago life has been a bit mad but at last I have found time to sit down at the computer, begin to sort out some of the hundreds of photos I took and to write a blog post. Budleigh Beach looking west. Budleigh Beach looking east. Couldn't resist taking this boat, the name sums up what we were hoping to do this holiday.
