SV Appa: Just rolling along
http://skybison.blogspot.com/2015/06/just-rolling-along.html
I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying. I own the last Wauquiez Centurion 42 (hull#55). View my complete profile. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. This is what Johnny Cash and I think of cancer! The surgeon says I look great down there and in September they will test the connection he made with contrast dye and see if it leaks. No leak and then I am set for reconnection end of October that is if I can stay on schedule with the chemotherapy. So as crappy as I feels som...

Maybe my kids will get a sense of me from this. If it goes pear shaped that is. You call this number and this thing beeps. I then call you back! Monda...

Back in the saddle. Truer words have never been printed.thanks for the shirt Chris! 7 am comes early sometimes. No wind till we reached the Strait. There was a ton of haze from multiple fires on Vancouver Island. A bit of a nap while motoring. So cute. Then Sam conned Pete into watching a Barbie movie with her. Once...We sp...

Thank God its Friday! Friday marked day five of chemo and radiation. I like to check things off and I was looking forward to checking one week of chemo DONE! But Thursday had to happen first. Once I got home I laid on the couch and chilled out. The burning and the pressure in my chest was intense. I took some ho...Anywa...

I was about to pull this foot pump out and then rebuild it. Then it hit me while I was drawing the fresh water pipe schematics. I won't post that chicken scratch, as I am the only one who can read that shit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And away we go. Thank God its Friday! I was asked fairly regularly before our t...

http://alberg30project.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
The Alberg 30 Project. The (slow) Restoration of a 1964 Alberg 30, hull #48. Monday, June 29, 2015. Same song, second verse. The pictures below are from yesterday's work. I didn't snap any pics today. Sunday, June 28, 2015. And the beat goes on. This is the first summer that I've been able to call mine. Every other summer in the last 10 years has had something - either master's work, certification work, travels, or whatever - but this summer is mine! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Alberg 30 Project: July 2015

The Alberg 30 Project. The (slow) Restoration of a 1964 Alberg 30, hull #48. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Settees, Galley, and Ice box/Nav. It's amazing how many steps it takes to cut one piece of wood to fit within the contours of a boat's geometry - especially when the power tools are on the ground and the measurements and fitting are within the boat (via a rickety ladder). I've had this project for ten long years already! Had I not been so hot and sweaty and covered in sawdust, I could have taken a nap.

The Alberg 30 Project: August 2015

The Alberg 30 Project. The (slow) Restoration of a 1964 Alberg 30, hull #48. Sunday, August 30, 2015. This and that…and back to school. Today was a hodgepodge of tasks, most of them fairly small but all part of moving ahead. I glassed in the vertical supports for the settee backs and cut a bulkhead for the under-sink galley area. Glassing it in had to wait because I have some sanding to do in that area first. Friday, August 21, 2015. Port shelf done - glassing next. I also installed a 1x2 cleat along the...

April 24th I go in for surgery. 0530 in the morning. I am the first and only case the Dr Pollock will do that day. Five to six hours of surgery. I will wake up (hopefully) with an ileostomy. And a foley catheter. Along with a nice big surgical incision. Don't know what those are? I would be lying if I was t...
