Sunday, October 9, 2011. Lucy is really getting into Dance. In fact, I think this might be her "thing". She absolutely LOVES going to her dance classes each week. She was so excited for her first dance recital, she could hardly stand it. It was so much fun watching her up on that stage. She really is very good, and I can tell that she is having so much fun. She has made some very nice friends at dance class. Lucy, front and center! Flowers after the show. I must have missed this part in Mom school.).

Saturday, October 8, 2011. I got to be a MOM and go on a field trip with Lucy's class. It was so much fun. I get to go on a lot of field trips, but I am usually in teacher mode. This time I just got to it back and soak it all in. Of course I had to take a half day of one of my 2 personal days to go, but it was well worth it! Lucy's class went to our city works day. The kids got to go to lots of different stations to learn about all of the public works (garbage, sewage, police, fire, traffic etc.).

Saturday, September 18, 2010. Max is so excited to be playing real Tackle Football again this year! He is getting to play positions like running back, tight end and defensive back! It is so great to see him get a chance to shine. I think he looks so cool in his uniform! Max is second from the left. Max's team played very well in the Jamboree. They are in the top league out of 3 leagues for their age group. They will be playing some tough opponents. Max and his Best Bud - Connor. 65279;Fulton and Franssen.

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Camp Harlow for the Boys and I Go back to Work. So my summer is officially over :(. It sure was a GREAT one though (with a few sad points). Sam and Max are BOTH at Camp Harlow overnight camp this week. I dropped them off there on Sunday afternoon and I will pick them up this Thursday afternoon. Thats FOUR nights away from home! Sam is on the far right and he is good buddies with the 2 boys to his left. He was so excited to go to camp with Lucas and Ryne. I'm back at work!

Saturday, October 8, 2011. Max turned 12 on the last day of school this year. I am so amazingly thankful for the fun year that I had this year with Max and his awesome class. I always loved seeing my kids with their friends, but it takes on a whole new meaning when you have also been their teacher. I will always share a special bond with this group of boys (I mean we spent a whole year together). They look a little scary in their painball gear! The last day of 5th grade means the last day of grade school.

We met for drinks and appetizers followed by pedicures and then dinner. I have been friends with these 3 ladies since college and now that our lives have gotten so busy it is a rare treat to see them. Both kids made their Sunriver bucket list and I think we crossed most everything off the list. I love this trip and hope we keep coming back for many more years. The three of us.

Monday, October 22, 2012. My parents came in the following weekend after we got back from Cabo to spend some time with my Aunt Joann who was out here from Texas. We went to Mission Viejo for a great dinner Saturday night and some live music everyone had a great time dancing. The next day, we braved the heat and enjoyed a little fair time on its last day in town. Gavin loving the rides this year! Gavin's 1st roller coaster! He's the one in the 3rd car with his arms all the way up - 1st EVER coaster ride!
