Sailing with our canine companion to explore the wonders of the world, but Texas first. Friday, July 24. Eyes of a Sailor. When do I need to see details 6 inches in front of my face? Playing the violin, I have discovered. I cannot see the bow on the string without closing my left eye. Glasses, I will need when I decide to play the violin again. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. The Best Cornbread Ever. When I was a home-schooled child, we did a unit on The Little House on the Prarie. And we kept reading about cornbread. My mom got it into her head to try and find the perfect cornbread recipe; so for weeks she baked different types of cornbread until we happened upon this recipe and now we make nothing else. It is always moist (it's essentially cake) and perfect. Enjoy! 1 1/3 cups yellow cornmeal. 1 1/3 cups flour. 1 Tbsp. baking powder.

October 16, 2011 34. I have an overabundance of apples in my house right now. This past week honeycrisp apples were on sale for $.98/pound, an amazing price, so of course I stocked up. We also already had plans to go apple picking with friends, so I picked up a bag there as well. Then, I came home one day to find a package of apples from Michigan Apples on my doorstep! Let’s just say eating an apple a day is a minimum requirement around here at the moment. 2 Tbsp sugar, plus extra as needed. I think I mi...

Spill The Beans « Kimberly Belle
http://www.kimberlybelle.com/2011/08/spill-the-beans.html
Thursday, August 4, 2011. It’s not just string beans. That are spilling over onto menus this season; I’m bursting at the seams with news of my own. But my man and I have just rented a three-story townhouse with a true chef’s kitchen (! In Charlestown, and the prospect of living together leaves me as happy as a Cherrystone clam.

Food, travel, life…. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. April 3, 2012. It’s that time of year again – out with the baguettes, the croissants, the pain au chocolat, in with the matzohs, brisket and macaroons. Somehow giving up these leavened confections seems to much more difficult here in France, but luckily for me I’m headed to London for the first 4 days of Pesach, so I won’t be tempted too much. All London is straight out of a Harry Potter film, right? A tour of Normandy.
