Monday, March 24, 2014. Divergent VS. Hunger Games. I have read all of the Hunger Games (Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay) by Suzanne Collins and really enjoyed them. I just finished Divergent by Veronica Roth and can say I liked that too. But what I want to know- what is with all the guns and killing? I understand teen novels tend to have more angst than say, adult fiction. Both had a bit of that in them. But the whole teen as killer thing seems to be a new trend in Young Adult Fiction. I kno...

The Library Fairy: September 2012

http://thelibraryfairy.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 17, 2012. By Hank Phillippi Ryan. This was an amazing book! I read alot and was enthralled by the plot twists that just kept coming. I won't say much more about it- too many spoliers possible but once you start this, you will be hard pressed to put it down. I can't wait to see what happens next in "The Wrong Girl". The Library Fairy: June 2011

http://thelibraryfairy.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott. The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott. By Kelly O'Connor McNees. This was a delightful book. The story of what might have happened to Louisa May one summer when her family lived in New Hampshire. It also suggests that the character of "Laurie" in. Was a real live love of Louisa's. This has been a topic of conjecture for some time. I liked how the author brought all the characters to life and made an appealing story. I always liked the book.

The Library Fairy: The Preservationist by Jason Kramon

http://thelibraryfairy.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-preservationist-by-jason-kramon.html

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. The Preservationist by Jason Kramon. From the first chapter, Jason Kramon creates a carefully crafted suspense story. I really enjoyed it and was impressed with the way he created characters, and setting, and let them tell a good story. What Jason does in the story is to take a familiar plot line and turn it into something a little more dark, a lot more creepy, and filled with more moments of holding your breath while you wait for the suspense to end-and it doesn't.

An elf's journey through the 23 Things programme. December 4, 2009. Quite a bit- as evidenced by the pictures on my blog! I am also pleased to say that I have now conquerred my fear of Twitter. I still think it’s slightly evil, but thanks to my new-found technological powers I feel confident in defeating the forces of evil that lurk online, in that space we call ‘the web’. (Doesn’t that word make you shudder at it’s ominous and seemingly unboundless power? December 3, 2009. In this game you were given a ...
