The Peak Condition Project - Jeremy: To Gym or Not to Gym

http://thepeakconditionproject-jeremy.blogspot.com/2009/09/to-gym-or-not-to-gym.html

Tuesday, September 22, 2009. To Gym or Not to Gym. Anyway - my point is, the gym is what you make of it, no more, no less. There are lots of weights and machines and thises and thats that you can use in any way you want. You can do an entire PCP routine at the gym, and more - or you can do a bunch of stupid exercises that will get you nowhere. I'm not a big movie watcher at all, so I've never even set foot in the video side.but it's just funny. As we like to say, "Only in Portland! And I understand your ...

The Peak Condition Project - Jeremy: If it's not one thing it's three others

http://thepeakconditionproject-jeremy.blogspot.com/2009/09/if-its-not-one-thing-its-three-others.html

Tuesday, September 15, 2009. If it's not one thing it's three others. Today is our "day off", so we went and had lunch at a Mexican place (fish tacos for me - I'll have to catch up on my veg intake later) and then took Asa to the nearest park, which happened to be Mt. Tabor (incidentally, one of the only dormant volcanos in the country). We had a nice time at the playground.but now I'm ready for a nap. September 16, 2009 at 6:00 AM. Rough week man keep us updated on the shoulder. To Gym or Not to Gym.

The Peak Condition Project - Jeremy: August 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-jeremy.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 30, 2009. We're going on vacation in 2 - count'em - 2 days! This will be our first "extended" (i.e. longer than a single overnight) vacation in OVER THREE YEARS. Can you say "we deserve it"? Oh yeah, I posted some new pics. Look, ma, I have abs! Sort of. Furry abs. But at least we're getting there. Friday, August 28, 2009. Great for mixing up with fried eggs. Anyway, it's late and I need to go to bed. Gonna make another attempt at this whole "getting up early and exercising" thing. From L ...

The Peak Condition Project - Jeremy: Back in action. Sort of.

http://thepeakconditionproject-jeremy.blogspot.com/2009/09/back-in-action-sort-of.html

Thursday, September 17, 2009. Back in action. Sort of. I have an appointment with a chiropractor tomorrow, so hopefully he will be able to sort out whatever's going on in my shoulder and neck. We've only got 10 days to go, and I can't help but feel like I'm limping to the finish line. Not exactly what I'd hoped for, but we do the best we can. September 18, 2009 at 12:14 AM. Limping works man. Youll be feeling great in a few days. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What IS the Peak Condition Project?

The Peak Condition Project - Melanie: Crisis

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009/10/crisis.html

Thursday, October 15, 2009. October 15, 2009 at 8:20 PM. Do your best, even your worst day on the PCP is better than most peoples healthiest days. October 16, 2009 at 5:12 AM. Hey, youre eating more fruit, tried liking yogurt, and youre looking good, Melanie! Ive got a friend who always answers the obligatory how are you with a pause, big smile, and by saying, Im doing the best that I can. Seems like youre doing the best you can right now, and thats more than good enough. Hang in there! Got a new jumprop...

The Peak Condition Project - Melanie: September 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Day 93 (Day 58 Revisited): I'm Baaaaaaack! Today I started my PCP extension! On to Day 125! I read that my new start would begin back on Day 58, which is where I left off before The Sickness. I found my pile of PCP printouts, found Day 58 and all my hash marks. Huh. I did this before. I can do it again. Totally was channeling Mike's Monday motivational video so thank you! Now I found my pace for the timed jumps. Nice! To get back into the groove, I tried to imagine myself i...

The Peak Condition Project - Heather: August 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-heather.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 30, 2009. Day 61 - Eh. 1) Mel Sidwell and I have been discussing our relative illnesses via Twitter. Mine was a reaction to medication that I knew would be over and done with after two days. And today I'm perfectly fine and about to head to the gym. Whoo. 3) Why November you ask? Well I'll tell you why; it's because I'm doing 125 days of FUN because I NEED 125 days of this because Rome wasn't built in a day and I didn't gain 53 lbs in 90 days. 5) The really tiny t-shirt I'm wearing in my m...

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-104-day-70-revisited-mountains-or.html

Monday, October 12, 2009. Day 104 (Day 70 Revisited): Mountains or Molehills? I broke my jumprope while jumping in my second set of jumps tonight. At $1.99 from Target, though, it served me well! Guess I'll get a new one tomorrow. I tried some Greek yogurt. Fage. Brand First, a tiny spoonful. I made a face. But it was better than regular yogurt! I consider this progress. I then dipped some celery into it. Better! I still hate yogurt. But I tried another new food, thanks to the PCP and PCPers. Subscribe t...

The Peak Condition Project - Pey: Day 84 - Body Fat %

http://thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-84-body-fat.html

Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Day 84 - Body Fat %. I had not measured my weight / fat% during the course of my PCP. The only way I could tell if there had been a progress was via 1) visual (from the photos that I took every week) and 2) My clothes size (my jeans are looser, so it's time to buy new clothes! A friend sent me a link to a body fat content test. No harm giving it a shot. I counted mine, 17.3%! That brings me out of the category of "below average asian women" and into "top athletes"!

The Peak Condition Project - Pey: Day 72 and 73 - Surrealism

http://thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-72-and-73-surrealism.html

Friday, September 11, 2009. Day 72 and 73 - Surrealism. Sometimes, life is just too surreal, and I feel like I am standing on the verge of reality and lala-ness. Things happened too fast and time zipped by too quickly. Sometimes, it's hard to keep track the events and people that whizzed by us. Changes are typical "I know" scenarios, yet when change comes, we're often taken aback and find it hard to embrace it. This reminds me of an old favorite of Dali's. . . It's all about perspective. http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 5, 2009. It's Been Real, It's Been Fun . But It Ain't Been Real Fun! My apologies: didn't mean to leave everyone hanging I've just been uh a little preoccupied and distracted. But I wanted to give my wrap-up on the PCP. In the simplest terms, I got to know myself better. My triggers in terms of what makes me sing and feel triumphant (checking off my little PCP to do list, really enjoying my meal) and what can derail me (the blues, routine interruption, feeling famished). So um yea &#46...

Saturday, October 3, 2009. Day 96 - Too early. I'm up at an ungodly hour for a Saturday for a run and a workout. It's also freezing. Basically I'm miserable, sober and cold. But my pants are too big. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Ok, here are the "final" pics. Obviously still need some work to get into Peak Condition, but a huge improvement nonetheless. First, let's revisit Day 1:. Hmm, pretty nice.but to really appreciate the belly you've got to see it from the side:. I could actually sit in a chair and rest my drink on my belly without it spilling. Now for the Day 90 comparison pics:. And the side view:. So, what were the results? Congratulations to all the new PCP grads! Sunday, May 22, 2011. I'm also su...

Thursday, August 5, 2010. Greetings from the Post-PCP Life! Mom and I flexing at 12,000 feet: Independence Pass, CO. It's been a crazy ride. I put off the 'thoughts-after-90-days' post because immediately after finishing PCP, I got sick! Listening to my body and acknowledging I was really sick helped. Going to the doctor helped. Camping and hiking with my parents in the mountains helped. Having a routine helped- jogging and coffee with Dad at 5:30am? Hiking with the family near Aspen, CO. Salmon my dad g...

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. How is this going to make me feel? I've been allowing myself yummy indulgences, though. I ate out TWICE yesterday. OMG! I miss jumping rope. I've made myself take the last two days off from workouts. I rode my bike, though! Did I say that? Ok, ok, how about some pictures? Here's a gratuitous muscle shot. I've made some great progress physically and mentally. I have two physical markers, my 1 pull-up! I've never been all that flexible, but I definitely became more flexible while ...

The Peak Condition Project - Jeremiah Andrick

Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Ok… So 90 came and went. So you may or probably may not be asking yourself, why hasn’t Jeremiah posted his last post.  There are two reasons:. As always I am on the road. I couldn’t find my camera. So I am going to tell you my story and add shot from someone else because I have that. So lets get real. What did I achieve:. I lost 15 lbs.  . I am now a size 33 jeans down from 36. I am a size 16.5 dress shirt down from 17.5 . I had to get my glasses tightened. I suck at pull ups.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009. I bow to Fred and Sidney. Sad, the PCP is finished. That's o.k., I'll just go eat some cake. (KIDDING). No cookies, and smiles times (day 90). In June, I ended my Peace Corps West Africa service and returned to America with one goal in mind: to eat my way through Dr. Phil’s Weight Loss Challenge “what not to eat” section. I found the book in a discarded “Books for Africa” box. (Seriously, who donates a weight loss book to Africa! What’s wrong with you? Throughout my service, I ...

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Day 27 - The journey continues. Some random thoughts on the progress and changes to body:. Keeping as much as possible to the diet program. I had two bites of chocolate on Monday, but everything else is going swimmingly. For some reason (I think Patrick already mentioned it), I've had an on-again, off-again headache this week.
