The Peak Condition Project - Pey

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Day 90 - It's just the beginning. Day 90 (Rather Day 92! Anyhow, this 90-days challenge is really quite cool, and aside the physical change, the PCP had brought about more realization on myself that am sure, will help me in my future endeavours. 1) Discipline - Outside in vs Inside out. 2) Public declaration / support / reminder. 3) Not-too-short term project. And pushing towards my goal had been a main source of conversation and focus for the past 3 months! I realised that...

The Peak Condition Project - Pey: Day 76 + 77 = Pace up!

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-76-77-pace-up.html

Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Day 76 77 = Pace up! Went to a chinese physician for a session of acupressure treatment and it's back on track! Though it's just jumps today (I love Tuesdays! I did the strength training section that I missed out on yesterday. Can't tell you how glad I am that my body is working as a whole again! September 16, 2009 at 6:01 AM. Good news about the neck. The Peak Condition Project - Pey: Day 69, 70, 71 - Don't look back

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-69-70-71-dont-look-back.html

Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Day 69, 70, 71 - Don't look back. The new exercise regime for the week is killer. KILLER! Interestingly, the new requirement for the shoulders today - DaVinci: 5 sets x failure - shifted my paradigm on how the mind can push further when there is no limit set. I was able to push on to 25 reps (the usual was 20 reps) till my face was scrunched up and there was tremendous burn in my shoulders. Reach for the sky and you'll touch the tree top! The power of mind. Day 74 and 75 - S...

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-64-65-66-67-68-back-in-game.html

Saturday, September 5, 2009. Day 64, 65, 66, 67, 68 - Back in the game. I reverted to morning exercises. Made myself wake up to jump and finished my sets for the day. It's only 22 more days to go. I do not want to waste any more of my PCP period wallowing in this negativity! I am back in the game! It's gonna be full on for the next 3 weeks! September 7, 2009 at 1:47 AM. Its ok Pey, we all go in and out of the PCP valley. Rock it from here on out! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Day 84 - Body Fat %.

The Peak Condition Project - Pey: Day 74 & 75 - Slow down

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-pey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-74-75-slow-down.html

Sunday, September 13, 2009. Day 74 and 75 - Slow down. I just sprained my left neck-shoulder, or at least pulled it during the legs-ups yesterday. It hurt when I look down and I could not turn to look to the sides without turning my whole body. It felt like my neck was stuck! Woke up this morning and my upper back and shoulder was froze up. Ironically, the pain went away when I worked out - guess getting my body "warmed-up" helped ease the tension. But alas! September 14, 2009 at 5:10 AM. Day 59.60&#...

The Peak Condition Project - Melanie: Crisis

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009/10/crisis.html

Thursday, October 15, 2009. October 15, 2009 at 8:20 PM. Do your best, even your worst day on the PCP is better than most peoples healthiest days. October 16, 2009 at 5:12 AM. Hey, youre eating more fruit, tried liking yogurt, and youre looking good, Melanie! Ive got a friend who always answers the obligatory how are you with a pause, big smile, and by saying, Im doing the best that I can. Seems like youre doing the best you can right now, and thats more than good enough. Hang in there! Got a new jumprop...

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Day 93 (Day 58 Revisited): I'm Baaaaaaack! Today I started my PCP extension! On to Day 125! I read that my new start would begin back on Day 58, which is where I left off before The Sickness. I found my pile of PCP printouts, found Day 58 and all my hash marks. Huh. I did this before. I can do it again. Totally was channeling Mike's Monday motivational video so thank you! Now I found my pace for the timed jumps. Nice! To get back into the groove, I tried to imagine myself i...

The Peak Condition Project - Heather: August 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-heather.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 30, 2009. Day 61 - Eh. 1) Mel Sidwell and I have been discussing our relative illnesses via Twitter. Mine was a reaction to medication that I knew would be over and done with after two days. And today I'm perfectly fine and about to head to the gym. Whoo. 3) Why November you ask? Well I'll tell you why; it's because I'm doing 125 days of FUN because I NEED 125 days of this because Rome wasn't built in a day and I didn't gain 53 lbs in 90 days. 5) The really tiny t-shirt I'm wearing in my m...

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-104-day-70-revisited-mountains-or.html

Monday, October 12, 2009. Day 104 (Day 70 Revisited): Mountains or Molehills? I broke my jumprope while jumping in my second set of jumps tonight. At $1.99 from Target, though, it served me well! Guess I'll get a new one tomorrow. I tried some Greek yogurt. Fage. Brand First, a tiny spoonful. I made a face. But it was better than regular yogurt! I consider this progress. I then dipped some celery into it. Better! I still hate yogurt. But I tried another new food, thanks to the PCP and PCPers. Subscribe t...

http://thepeakconditionproject-melanie.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 5, 2009. It's Been Real, It's Been Fun . But It Ain't Been Real Fun! My apologies: didn't mean to leave everyone hanging I've just been uh a little preoccupied and distracted. But I wanted to give my wrap-up on the PCP. In the simplest terms, I got to know myself better. My triggers in terms of what makes me sing and feel triumphant (checking off my little PCP to do list, really enjoying my meal) and what can derail me (the blues, routine interruption, feeling famished). So um yea &#46...

Saturday, October 3, 2009. Day 96 - Too early. I'm up at an ungodly hour for a Saturday for a run and a workout. It's also freezing. Basically I'm miserable, sober and cold. But my pants are too big. Sunday, August 30, 2009. We're going on vacation in 2 - count'em - 2 days! This will be our first "extended" (i.e. longer than a single overnight) vacation in OVER THREE YEARS. Can you say "we deserve it"? Oh yeah, I posted some new pics. Look, ma, I have abs! Sort of. Furry abs. But at least we're getting there. Friday, August 28, 2009. Great for mixing up with fried eggs. Sohave I arrived at the place I wanted to be when I first started the PCP journey? Well, unfortunately, no, I'm not. Am I in "Peak Condition"? Ohand I'll upload some pics in the next few days. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Final pic's will be up this weekend along with final thoughts. I have a lot to say and I want to say it well so I need a few more days. Thursday, December 9, 2010. I am not looking forward to finishing the PCP. I am afraid of gaining back the weight I have lost and falling back into old habits. I feel very healthy and energetic and yes I enjoy the workouts now. Well, not enjoy them but appreciate them. Jack's mum is a great cook and has taken the PCP food prep very seriously.

Friday, July 10, 2009. Monday, June 8, 2009. はじめてで...

The weather has been absolutely beautiful and I've been doing a lot of walking. I'm just back from the produce store and I have a fridge full of delicious things to eat. I'm hoping to get in my 1400 jumps tomorrow and get rolling again. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Now, don't fall over. but yes, I've got two posts in two days! It takes me forever. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Day 90 - COMPLETE! I don't know exactly what to say. I know I am going to be short and sweet on this blog that is for sure. I am off in an hour and a half for a 14 hour flight to NY. My first non-PCP meal is going to be airline food! I will post the final pics in a few days and say some more but for now, I can just say, I am so amazed at this program, the results and honestly, what I was able to accomplish! From January 1st of this year, I lost a total of 19.5 kilos / 43 lbs.

Sunday, 15 May 2011. Back to the blog. So I have been away from the blog for a while. Apologies for that. Work has slightly taken over in the last few weeks and some other parts of life seem to have come to the forefront and taken over. It's been a strange last part of the PCP and I definitely hold my hands up to not getting the most out of the last push to the end. That said, I take some comfort in the fact that my body has never been in better shape and my diet is still going strong. Monday, 2 May 2011.

Thursday, September 30, 2010. PCP may be over, but it never ends! Check out my latest Kung Fu Body. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Headed down to Patrick's House of Pain for a post- PCP visit. He should me some new ways to torture my muscles, like hand-stand-push-ups-into-80's-break-dancing-snake and YODO Abs. Also got a taste of Kung-Fu Body, which is going to, pardon the pun, kick ass! Finally, I measured myself on the trusty PCP scale: 67.3 kilos,16.6% body fat. Links to this post.

Saturday, May 28, 2011. There is an expression that goes “Courage in the face of humility”. You’ve all shown this by openly and honestly revealing yourself, physically and emotionally, for all to see – This take courage…. I think you all rock! PCP and Patrick …. It rocks and it gives you the opportunity for something special and unique that is not out there – It takes Nutrition, Exercise, Education, Self Awareness and presents it with no BS – You do it for yourself. Nice one Patrick, and Thank You….

Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Day - 90 - The END. Ladies and Gents,. Its been a great adventure! 90 days have come and gone very fast, too fast in fact! But I almost enjoyed every moment.yes I did have a few "sense of humour failures", but all in all I loved it! I think the most important lesson I learned with PCP is that diet is so verry important, I have also learned to use spices in a better way and eat unsalted foods.which would have been un heard of before. Well done to all of you that finished the PCP!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Elsewhere, I've never blogged in my life up to this point in time but really found the practice to be almost therapeutic at some level. The weekly questions from the group and video round-up were great. Into the routine, will scale-back the number of workouts slightly but add some stretching / yoga and a bit more running in as well. Again, well done to the team - it's been fun and motivating getting killer results together. Good luck and stay healthy. -Robby P. Ugly Mugs an...
