This post focuses on dressmaking but the same applies to home furnishings, bags, artwork, etc. Making it yourself is the difference between 'it will do' and 'it's just right'. How do you get 'tailor-made' on a budget? Are your skirts exactly the right length for you? Are your shirts buttoned in the right place? Do the colours and patterns on every piece of clothing in your wardrobe appeal to you? They didn't look too. You are capable of learning to sew.

I have light red hair, brown eyes and light-to-medium skin color. In the American Color Me Beautiful system, I am a spring; however, in the European version I am a warm/soft. My color varies slightly based on how recently I have dyed my hair, so I wear the softer colors as the color washes out. Links to this post.
