Angel Feather Farm: Tropical Storm Colin
http://www.angelfeatherfarm.com/2016/06/tropical-storm-colin.html
Life on a Central Florida Homestead. Monday, June 6, 2016. I spent the last couple of days preparing for tropical storm Colin. Fortunately it was not a strong storm, and we have received less rain than we expected. I have been able to do farm chores between the rain bands. Although I am close to the coast, I am far enough inland that I was not affected by the storm surge that has caused flooding in other areas. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Angel Feather Farm: Damage
http://www.angelfeatherfarm.com/2016/06/damage.html
Life on a Central Florida Homestead. Tuesday, June 7, 2016. This is what I woke up to this morning. A huge old tree fell from the winds on the back side of tropical storm Colin. The main trunk fell between two of the goose pens and stretches across the paddock to the chicken coops. Remarkably, all the geese and chickens are alive. I found my geese in that one little corner of their pen that was not crushed. They were smart and fast to be alive this morning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Awesome Inc...

Go Chanel or Go Home: October 2009
http://chaneljacket.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 31, 2009. The trials of trim. What's a Chanel jacket without trim? Trim for red is either gold or black. Or both. Last week I was THIS close to getting iron-on gold trim. At the last second, fearing it would look cheap on a casual day topper (trying too hard at best and street wear at worst), I paused. And, and, and? I find the whole effect altogether too fuzzy. So back to the drawing board. Black and gold. So, today's options are:. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. This was quite a challeng...

Mid-Life Meandering: July 2009

Ezekiel Emanuel on the End of Life. Ezekiel Emanuel on the End of Life. Monday, July 27, 2009. Ezekiel Emanuel, the top healthcare adviser at Obama's Budget Office and brother of his chief of staff has stated repeatedly that he feels that those who have dementia should not receive medical care. I have done a search, but have found that most of the documents are not available to the public, but I did find several references that might give you a place to start if you would like to research this. I just fi...

A Guide To Quality, Taste and Style. Sunday, June 21, 2009. My latest read is Women's Wardrobe. By Kim Johnson Gross and Jeff Stone. The book is divided into the following sections: style, elements, clothes first aid, and where to find clothes. My favorite thing about the book is that they show entire outfits, head to toe, including appropriate jewelry and shoes. They also take each fabric and place it in a category. The Truth About Caregiving. Wednesday, August 19, 2009. I have had this book checked out of the library for 6 weeks, and it will make it into my permanent library. Color Me Confident. By Veronique Henderson and Pat Henshaw is one of the best books I have read on color and style in one's wardrobe. The book covers making a change, finding your best colors, finding the right shapes for your figure, hair and make-up, and building a wardrobe. Make-up colors to try:. Blush: cognac, sienna. With slate blue wear...
