The final battle line was crossed the other day when one teacher commented to my daughter that she should say goodbye to Mommy, if she can manage to see Mommy through the hair in her face . Here it was again, an outside vendor was hounding my parenting choices and casting her judgment in the preschool pickup line.

At times it seems way loud. Have I been missing this all these years? Everything sounds crisp and sharp. It's like they turned up the treble on my ears.
