Mockingbird's Medley: September 2014
http://mimusreloaded.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Thursday, September 25, 2014. I've said this guy was my favorite starting pitcher for the Red Sox, even when he was 1-9 when he got traded to the San Francisco Giants. You know what? The Giants are still fighting to make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Red Sox have sewn the AL East cellar up. Can't blame that on Peavy, can we? Monday, September 22, 2014. The Damn Scram Scare em. Then I woke up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Friday, January 23, 2015. Author's note: This song is the closest I ever came to contracting a revolutionary fever. And I think the lyrics touch on the fact that I have no stomach for that sort of behavior. Might explain why I like liberals but not progressives. - JY). The old Black Iron Prison is showing the strain of its age. That's about all I've ever known. After all this time afraid and alone. The Black Iron Pri...

If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Sunday, January 25, 2015. Why in the hell did I ever take up political blogging? If there is a god, He put me here to write music. I know I was built for music, god or no god involved. You know how? I like paintings, sculptures, books, theatre, and so on. You take all those forms of human expression away from me, and I'll survive. But if you take music away. January 25, 2015 at 1:41 PM. Skippy the bush kangaroo.

Mockingbird's Medley: December 2014

If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Thursday, December 18, 2014. U S Rte. 3, Nashua Edition. Me, I think the way that stretch of Rte. 3 is laid out played a part. The distance where the on-ramp of exit 5 ends and the off-ramp of exit 7 West begins - wherein lie exit 6 and exit 7 East - is around 1.25 miles. That's it. Whoever designed the main roadways of Nashua was doing a drug I either want nothing to do with or want to overdose on and die from.

If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Some King Crimson (Mostly). They're calling it one of their "projeKcts," but with a lineup featuring Robert Fripp on guitar, Tony Levin on bass, and Mel Collins (! On sax, this sounds pretty damn King Crimsony to me. Enjoy. Mockingbird's Medley: July 2014
http://mimusreloaded.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Can The Red Sox DFA The Owners? Or, failing that, can someone explain to me why, when your team's offense and not its pitching is the big problem, you would trade away your two best starting pitchers who have proven their worth to you for hitters who may or may not work out in their new home? And that sucks, because last year, Felix had a two-month stretch where he. And then John Lackey, too?

If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She'd close the blinds in the afternoon. And stay inside with the television on. She'd sit for hours staring at the moon. And talk of lovers and friends forever gone. A broken heart like hers won't mend. So it never breaks again. Every year she'd take the flag. Given to her in exchange for a man. Every time she'd ask aloud. When is this gonna help me understand". So it never breaks again.

Damn It – What Fresh Hell Is This. Let me get this straight. The Yemeni government has basically collapsed. Russia has evacuated their people; India (3 rapes per hour-ville, for pity’s sake) has evacuated THEIR people. And no efforts to send in American military to GET our citizens is being planned? Mockingbird's Medley: "The Herd Mentality"...
http://mimusreloaded.blogspot.com/2015/01/herd-mentality.html
If we do what brings us comfort for a living, it no longer brings us comfort." - Frisby. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. In 1995, I actually made an album. A concept album at that. Its title was Scenes From The Night Shift. The second track was "Life That Thrives Beyond The Sun." Years later, I changed the title to "The Herd Mentality." I never released the album. Still, this is one of the best songs I ever wrote. - JY). The sun sets and souls and shadows stretch along the train tracks. And the herd mentality.
