Yarn crafting in the Heart of England. Newer posts →. August 10, 2016. These socks have been on the needles for a while. A couple of rows here, another few rows there. Perfect travel knitting. The wool was from the Appenzell autumn market, and the understated colourway has a subtle pattern that blends the green shades to good effect. So it is good to have a completed project to tick off my list and share with you🙂. How are your WIPs looking at the moment? How many projects do you usually have on the go?

This week’s Friday Finished Object has built-in memories of fresh summer hues to carry me through the cooler autumn and winter days …. It’s the Nurmilintu. That I mentioned in an earlier post – a free pattern, largely based on garter stitch, with easy lace sections and a picot edging. Difficult to photograph, but easy to knit🙂. Clean, modern, stylish knitting patterns by Kate Bostwick. Introducing Norfolk Boot Toppers. October 12, 2016. The pattern is knit in Erika Knight Vintage Wool. A 100% British wool which is great for colourwork. It’s a pleasure to knit with, and comes in lots of lovely colours. The pattern also has photo tutorials for optional tubular cast-on and bind-off, as well as Kitchener stitch for the optional tubular bind-off, so it’s a great one for learning a new trick or two. Yarn In My Mouth
Yarn In My Mouth. There's yarn in my mouth, soup on the stove, and cat fur on my sweater. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Later in the morning, I went back to my thermometer and logged my temperature. I knew the minute I saw the numbers on the readout what would show up on my chart. A dip. An ugly, hopeless dip. . I can't be positive of my negative status for another week, but the chart never lies. Not for me. So what's your big struggle to date? Monday, June 15, 2015. I deal with a tremendous amount of g...

When I was planning to weave my latests scarf (warp shown here; I really must do a post about the finished scarf sometime.) I orignally intended to use Bunnylace as the weft. So soft! What if the motifs dont flow into each other as they should? Well How wrong could it go? At any rate, this yarn is lovely to knit with; soft as feathers and light as air. Apr 13, 2012 3:52:00 PM.
