Knit and Crochet Show Manchester, NH. If you were didn't go to the Knit and Crochet Show. At the Raddison you missed the opportunity to purchase great stuff! The Sock Lady: Kitchener Stitch
http://thesocklady.blogspot.com/2008/01/kitchener-stitch.html
Thursday, January 10, 2008. To weave two knit pieces together. You won't find that in a regular dictionary. I just made it up. For what it's worth and from what I understand, the Kitchener Stitch, used to weave the toe of knitted socks together, was invented (probably. From an article by Norma Bogan. I first learned to Kitchener (I use the word as a verb any time I want. So sue me! My first sock machine was a 60 cylinder and I watched a Norma Bogan. Tape showing in real time how she Kitchenered. I though...
PIXIE-KNITTER: Poolside knitting

Def: faeries and pixies of myth: merry and carefree folk who inhabit forests and woodlands. def: knitter: to become closely and firmly joined together; grow together. Sunday, July 18, 2010. What a beautiful day to be knitting! First I did some Yoga. I love my pink mat. It doubles as a great place to lay down too! Then I did some knitting in between snatches of sun bathing. I figured it was too hot for wool so I worked on my Tinks Twirley. Skirt I am about 3/4 done and ready for the next tier.

The Sock Lady: February 2010
http://thesocklady.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 11, 2010. I can't believe I let another year slip by. I'm still here, just not cranking. My sock machines still number four and the same half completed sock still dangles from my NZAK. However, my sock machines and I have moved into the now complete studio, that garage-turned-studio I talked about a year ago. The sock machine corner with (Top, L to R) Legare. I have not cranked a sock in TWO YEARS! Will I remember how? Projects and some weaving to get done before I fire up a CSM. The o...

Sunday, February 10, 2008. Now You See Them . . . I'm working with my 80/40 setup on the NZAK. The yarns are Opal (denim) and Soxx (dark red). I'm getting 9 rounds to the inch. The second Opal sock had issues. I remove all the needles when making a heel on a ribbed sock. Something went haywire when I finished the heel and added back the instep needles. I put the instep needles in the wrong slots. What was I thinking? But not without some pain and suffering! I've gotta get with it! View my complete profile.

Yarn in my Pocket
Yarn in my Pocket. April 13, 2012. Ive been holding out on you. Well, sort of. A little bit, perhaps. When I was planning to weave my latests scarf (warp shown here; I really must do a post about the finished scarf sometime.) I orignally intended to use Bunnylace as the weft. So soft! What if the motifs dont flow into each other as they should? Well How wrong could it go? At any rate, this yarn is lovely to knit with; soft as feathers and light as air. Apr 13, 2012 3:52:00 PM.
