Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Crabapples come in a variety of sizes. There is a tree for every area of your garden. " Tina" crabapple is a minature tree version for small spaces. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Forsythias announce the arrival of spring with its bright yellow flowers. Since, there were couple of snowy days in spring this year, these blooms delayed the arrival for about 2-3 weeks. These flowers bloom even before the plant has leaves. Monday, June 8, 2009. Pink Weigela in bloom. Minuet" weigela has beautiful pink colored blooms. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Red Weigela in bloom. Red Prince Weigela blooms in springtime. It has amazing trumpet shaped flowers bright red in color. Thursday, June 4, 2009. Lilacs usually bloom with the arrival of spring. The temperatures are perfect ranging from 60-65 degree F, slightly foggy, pleasant rains, lush green landscapes and trees set in colorful blooms everywhere. Mulch is a protective layer of a material that is spread on top of the soil. Mulches can either be organic - such as grass clippings, straw, bark chips, and similar materials - or inorganic - such as stones, brick chips, and plastic. Both organic and inorganic mulches have numerous benefits. Protects the soil from erosion. Maintains a more even soil temperature.
