Muffins and Cupcakes | Feeding a Bear
https://feedingabear.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/muffins-and-cupcakes
Trying to live naturally. Shopping at Thrift Stores. Gabriel Mascara Review →. April 20, 2011. Muffins are usually considered to be breakfast food, but they’re a little bit too sweet and usually lacking in nutritional value for everyday breakfast, so I’m moving them into the dessert. Category (where, in comparison to sugary frosted cupcakes, they pass nutritional tests nearly with flying colors). Without further ado, reasonably healthy dessert muffin (and cupcake) recipes. 8211; Nix the glaze. 8211; Admi...

Trying to live naturally. Non-Vegetarian Vegetable Recipes →. April 13, 2011. If I had to pick a single favorite food, it would probably be either pancakes or duck. Weird, I know. Today I’ll give you some fun, different, and mostly reasonably healthy pancake recipes. Nourishing Traditions Soaked Pancakes. 8211; This is the main pancake recipe from my favorite book/cookbook. And it is probably the healthiest. I do find that my digestion seems improved when I eat these pancakes. These take longer to cook.
Non-Vegetarian Vegetable Recipes | Feeding a Bear
https://feedingabear.wordpress.com/2011/04/15/non-vegetarian-vegetable-recipes
Trying to live naturally. Shopping at Thrift Stores →. April 15, 2011. I might as well have titled this post “vegetables with bacon and sausage,”. Because that’s what it is. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a huge fan of vegetables, and that cooking vegetables appealingly is not one of my strong suits (those two facts are probably related). Bacon and sausage aren’t exactly healthy, but if they help you eat your vegetables, they’re probably okay sometimes. On with the recipes. The green beans instead.

Trying to live naturally. Newer posts →. Vegetarian Dips and Salsas. April 2, 2011. Dips and salsas are usually vegetarian, but I decided to use the word “vegetarian” in the title of this post just to be perfectly clear. 8211; A chunky, fruity salsa which sounds totally delicious. Avocado Chile Sauce and Dip. Spicy, creamy, avocado goodness! I would use unrefined sesame or peanut oil instead of canola oil. Lemon and Almond Basil Pesto. Roasted Vegetable Spread or Dip. 8211; I believe you can broil. Of ra...
TUPR 11: The Best Pot Holders | Feeding a Bear

Trying to live naturally. Alvarado Street Bakery Bread Reviews. Small Victories →. TUPR 11: The Best Pot Holders. April 8, 2011. Back before my husband the bear and I got married, I was looking around Bed, Bath, and Beyond to make sure wedding registry items I’d selected online were good in real life. Somewhere along the way, I stumbled upon what are, to me, the best pot holders. They’re silicone with a strong non-slip grip. They can double as hot pads/trivets. They’re easy to clean. Evelyn's food blog: Pork and mashed potatoes
http://evel8yn.blogspot.com/2012/11/pork-and-mashed-potatoes.html
Thursday, November 1, 2012. Pork and mashed potatoes. We ate an early dinner ( 5:00 pm) and we ate food I would associate with grandparents. We had pork and green peppers stuffed with mashed potatoes. I was a little out of practice because we rarely make meat at home. I was happy with how it turned out. 3 Pork sirloin cutlets about 4 oz each. As usual measurements are approximate. 2 Tbsp dijon mustard. 1/4 tsp molasses (honey would be great too). 1 tsp diced dried rosemary. 1 tsp diced dried rosemary.

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. A few weeks ago, Jon and I went to an Indian neighborhood in Chicago for dinner and grocery shopping. (Also window shopping at some very posh sari boutiques! In addition to a variety of other products, we ended up with 24 pounds of various beans. Hence, I am on a mission to eat more dal. Evelyn's food blog: December 2011
http://evel8yn.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 4, 2011. This is a pizza recipe I came up with about a month ago to use up some leftover broccoli rabe. Broccoli rabe is a vegetable that I always think I will like more than I do. I don't dislike it, but honestly, I'd rather have broccoli or kale. Anyway, this pizza came about when I was browsing around for broccoli rabe recipes, and I ran across this pizza from smitten kitchen. Vegetable oil for sauteing. 1 large onion, sliced into thin rings. 1/2 pound broccoli rabe, washed and chopped.
