The theme I am going to use throughout the semester is the idea of nightlife. The darker colors like blue, purple and greens. With objects like the moon, stars, woods, owls, things you see at night. This semester I hope to explore different mediums and materials through creativity in my art. Thursday, February 21, 2013. Nostalgia" is a piece of art created to illustrate the remembrance of Summer. I used clocks to symbolize that the season feels timeless. The image transfers make the theme of summer a little more obvious. The word "Aloha" means welcome and farewell. The other images represent the season giving it a tropical feel. Lick and Lather" by Janine Antoni is by far the most unique piece of artwork I've ever seen. The sculpture on the left is "Lick." It is made of chocolate. Hi this is Alex. I am in Art 3-2d design and hope to create drawings and paintings. One day I hope to be a graphic artist or concept artist. Friday, May 22, 2009. I think this piece turned out really well. I used a technique where i pealed up rubber cemment from painted strips of paper , and then painted them again. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Acrylic and textured paint. I did this piece using textured and acrylic paint. 18x24. Monday, March 22, 2010. I did this piece using photo shop. I took pictures of Hannah first then I edited them in photo shop. I then created the background and took pictures of it and applied it to the first pictures. Overall I am very happy with the way this piece turned out! This piece was done using textured and acrylic paint, pennies and string. Overall I like how it turned out!
