Just another college student living the dream. The other night I pulled my first all-nighter of college. Yeah, at the end of my junior year. So what? First of all, it was horrible. I spent 12 hours in the library with my friend Kate. (Actually, she was there longer- I had to go take my final! My friend Shelia also came and studied with us for a bit. My friend Taylor is the Red Bull representative on campus, so he gave a case of Red Bull to my friend Heather and I, so I had a bunch with me. 8220;I’m...

Just another college student living the dream. Living in an apartment is pretty fun. There are no rules: I can decorate how I want to, it teaches responsibility and I can cook! And a peach or cherry pie. But lately, I’ve been craving peanut butter blossoms. So, the other day, my friend Bekah came over and we made them! Usually, I stick to the recipe, but I didn’t have. Enough peanut butter to make two batches. A spark lit in my head…I have Nutella! Why not add some, right? Are you drooling yet? And hopef...

Thursday, July 9, 2009. Sounds great if you are in Jamacia or Cayman Island and dancing on the beach to the "Hot Hot Hot' Jamacian music, but in South Texas it's a different story. The yards are burning up from the heat and lack of rain. Most yards are shades of brown with a few little round spots of light green. Under foot is crispy dried grass and cracks to watch out for. In my little part of the world, where the normal rainfall is 30 inches per year, we have had about 6 inches in the past 12 months.

Just another WordPress site. Our Year Long Vacation. Our Year Long Vacation. Darr; Archives ↓. August 24th, 2013. Saturday Farmer’s Market and Tour of Downtown. While we were down town at the market, we decided to take a walk around the historic buildings. On our way home, we stopped to take photo’s of this old windmill and pump. I have no way of dating this particular pump, but it does remind me of days gone by, when ranching was a way of life along the Chisholm Trail. Bull; No Comment. August 24th, 2013.

Tales from Thailand
Sunday, August 31, 2014. Arriving in Sri Lanka and Catching a Wave in Arugam Bay. Sri Lanka is a country with so many delicious foods! For me it started with incredible food on our Sri Lankan Airlines flight: cashew nut upma, chana dhal masala, and broccoli tikki- -yum! Plus, the ceylon tea was so good I didn't need sugar or cream! In Arugam Bay we had rice and fish curry at The Food Hut. The humble space housed incredible flavors! Rambutan and durian are in the height of their seasons. I spotted man...

Tales from Thailand
Tuesday, November 28, 2006. On November 18th the TA’s and teachers of our school had a good lunch at a restaurant in town. It was timed nicely so that I could eat before setting out to the airport and Thailand so I thought! I have never had to wait so long to get food. An hour after ordering, I hadn’t even been given my drink. They were bringing one dish every 5 minutes for 40 people half of whom had ordered yesterday! Why is it that people in airport security always make you feel guilty! It’s funny: I’v...

Tales from the Craft Room. I just love making pretty things! Wednesday, 8 April 2015. Tonight I thought I would share with you a card I made using the new Santoro Gorjuss Collection. Docrafts have used my card to advertise the collection. I used the a selection of papers, a memory pocket, bunting, ribbons and charms from the embellishment pack to create my card. I really like the new range with the brighter colors. Don't you just love this Gorjuss Girl with her pink hair. Posted by Claire Cady Green.

Tales from the Net. A work in progress. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Bringing the #privchat community to Diaspora *. It’s hard to believe but #privchat — the Tuesday morning Twitter Privacy Chat — has been going on for almost a year.
