Tuesday, June 30, 2009. What the Girls Really Want. After looking at the photos of Take Your Dog to Work Day. In the Globe, ( and being bummed that I missed the chance to take Brady with me for the last day of school), I've come to the conclusion that what Mona and Molly have been trying to tell us for years is that they want careers of their own. Sunday, June 28, 2009. Here are the moments that I hope you will never forget - Happy 18 years, son. 1 Proclaiming "Oh, what a happy feeling" upon opening up y...

Mancusi Family Blog: My Mom
http://mancusifamily.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-mom.html
Sunday, May 9, 2010. A lot of people in this world know how beautiful and talented my mother is. But only I know how truly amazing she is. She was the world's coolest mother and I was always so proud of her - who else had a mother who wore a leopard-skin print bikini when they chaperoned the 9th grade beach picnic? In her honor. Thanks, Mom - and somewhere, there will be another girl and a mom going to a school picnic together next year. I hope they have a really great time.

Mancusi Family Blog: Happy New Year !
http://mancusifamily.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-new-year.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. When do we get a dull year? We figure that's not going to happen soon, with 7 offspring ( counting sons/daughters in-law) between the ages of 17 and 30-something. :). We'll start with the girls, because they've been the busiest. One piece of wonderful news can be delivered via picture. This is the t-shirt my stepdaughter, Marianne, gave Bob when we went to visit her and her husband, Jacob, in Austin, TX this Thanksgiving:. The very first grandchild is due at the end of June!

Mancusi Family Blog: Weekend Update
http://mancusifamily.blogspot.com/2010/01/weekend-update.html
Sunday, January 17, 2010. I'd suggest checking hell to see if ice skating is available because Bob Mancusi went to a yoga class this weekend. As you get older. Which led to having my husband on the yoga mat on my right this past Saturday morning. There are a variety of yoga instructors and some are more "yoga-ey" than others. They range from an older woman who's very soothing to a young blonde who calls every position by its multi-syllabic Sanskrit/Hindu/whatever the language of yoga is name. The teacher...

Mancusi Family Blog: January 2010

Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Ten months ago I wrote a list of ten memories that I had about Marianne growing up. It was her 35. Birthday and I was reflecting on my many memories of her as a little girl. They were not the “huge moment” memories about special honors and life achievements, they were just the “little Dad moments” that had stuck in my head. It gave me such pleasure to record those memories, that I promised myself to do the same for Michael on his next birthday. Well, today is the day! 8220;Sn...

Mancusi Family Blog: December 2009
http://mancusifamily.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 29, 2009. At the end of each day, as we collapsed into bed, exhausted, I would mutter to myself "Well, at least I don't have to worry about Christmas shopping". But it did pay off! The weekend before Christmas I actually relaxed, enjoyed some time with my children, visited my grandmother and welcomed Sunday's snow storm, instead of freaking out because it meant not being able to get out and shop. It was a great cabin, up on a little hill, surrounded by trees, snow and absolute quiet.

Mancusi Family Blog: November 2009
http://mancusifamily.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 21, 2009. I haven't blogged much since this summer - there's something about spending 9 hours a day in a computer lab that makes you not want to sit at a computer when you finally get home. But after a truly awful week at work I am faced with either grading brochures my 5th graders made for the local animal shelter ( Are you thinking of adopting a guinea pig or a rabbit? Saturday, November 14, 2009. Fall in New England. Maple trees in our yard. An early morning walk at Crystal Lake.
