That right there is totally damning with faint praise, as it should be. This novel came out in 1997, the same year as Steve Alten’s “MEG: A Novel of Deep Terror”. It was a simpler time when the world was out of the shadow of the Cold War, the economy was booming, and the only thing we had to fear was the omnipresent threat of giant killer sharks. I used to not only believe in a personal God, but in a coterie of spirits, angels, devils, that I could speak with as I’m speaking to you. I once had a real conversation with this guy. Learning new foods, one glass of wine at a time. 1 box of phyllo dough (contains two rolls). 2 16oz packages of frozen cut leaf spinach (thawed, drained, and as dried as possible). 1 large onion, diced. 1 12oz container of crumbled feta cheese. 4 eggs, lightly beaten. 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped dill.
