Thursday, May 26, 2011. DAY 32 - OUR FINAL DAY. I must take a minute out and acknowledge with a great big 'thank you' the forth member of our team, our RV. Even though we did do some back tracking, it actually turned out pretty good. As we headed back south, we were fortunate enough to see some additonal great sights such as the Old Colorado City and the Loretto Chapel. Oh such a problem. Now here is a brief 'facts sheet' of what we did:. We traveled through 6 states. We travel a total of 3,587 miles.

Monday, May 23, 2011. Nancy and I looked at the calendar today and determined that today started our 5th week on our trip. This is by far our longest vacation. We are currently sitting in Santa Fe New Mexico. This such a far stretch from the wet, rainy and windy climate of Sheridan and the Montana border. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Well, we are still here. Yep! I believe this will be our 4th night here. It kind of funny. Many of you don't know it but this was our 3rd attempt to reach Mt. Rushmore. So now we are here it seems that wonderful mother nature and her weather is bound and determined to keep us here. This doesn't even count that the Sierra Mountains in California are also having snow. Sooooooooooooooooooooo we said to ourselves, better just stay put. This town has a population of approx. 1300.
