Running through life with my four legged friend by my side. Races & Results. Training is officially complete! The Weird Post Race Week →. Race 13.1 Greensboro Race Recap (FIRST Half Marathon! May 18, 2015. My first half marathon is complete! I had a lot of trouble setting a goal for this race, mostly because I had no idea what to expect. I settled on the 1:50-1:55 range as my goal, and I’m proud to say that I met that goal (barely) on a very hilly, challenging course on a hot day. So I didn’t. I held...

While there haven’t been any. But I’d like to think that at least. Of it is due to me being in better shape, too! This week I start some harder workouts a...

Checking off a bucket list item. | The Hungry Runner Girl
http://www.hungryrunnergirl.com/2015/08/checking-off-a-bucket-list-item.html
Checking off a bucket list item. August 9, 2015. The day started off nice and early with a run around the perimeter of the Disney parks again. I don’t know why I decided to lean against a palm tree for the picture but let’s just go with it. My goal was to avoid as many stoplights as possible so the majority of the run was up and down this gorgeous palm tree lined street. It was about .6 miles long so I didn’t mind going back and forth for a bit. Headed back to Utah today! The Hungry Runner Girl. I’...

Skip to main content. Deliciously Gluten Free Recipes. Running & Race Recaps. My Other 25th Birthday Gift. October 6, 2016. October 5, 2016. I took a blogging break. Frequent readers may recall that Brett gave me an ice cream maker a few days before my 25th birthday. I’d like to have a record for myself, and also share what I go through with others who might find themselves getting married and starting a family at a similar stage in life. The more I’ve thought. While I was happy to make this a blog about...

Ogden 1/2 Marathon Recap | The Hungry Runner Girl
http://www.hungryrunnergirl.com/2015/05/ogden-12-marathon-recap.html
Ogden 1/2 Marathon Recap. May 18, 2015. I had the awesome opportunity to be a VIP runner. And it was incredible. The best part about the VIP runners is that a big chunk of the registration for this opportunity is donated to the YOUNG RUNNERS program (a nutrition and exercise program to help young people in our community to be active). The 1/2 marathon started right at 6:45 and the marathon started at 7:15! Long story short I need to wear more clothes. The first half mile was flat followed by a 1/2 mile u...

Gotta Run Now Pages. My Race Reports: From the 5K to 50 Miles. Monday, July 27, 2015. One Run, Two States. Today I ran 12 miles in two states during one run. We're staying at Premier RV park on the Snake River in Clarkston, Washington. I ran over a bridge and into Lewiston, Idaho, and kept going until I ran to Hellsgate State Park. The park looked very much like the rest of the bike trail scenery (see top photo). Before we drove into Coeur D'Alene, we stopped in Sandpoint, Idaho, and visited the farmer's...

run lindy run: Operation Broccoli
http://runlindyrun.blogspot.com/2015/05/operation-broccoli.html
Running, weight loss, and other miscellaneous stuff. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. I found this unposted blogpost in a folder on my laptop from November 2012* *. Ok, so I’m not a huge fan of broccoli. I like it cooked in a stir fry, with rice and some kind of sauce. Or slathered with cheese sauce. Who doesn’t? Why can’t that be spinach? Here are some more links:. Gotta Run Now Pages. My Race Reports: From the 5K to 50 Miles. Sunday, October 28, 2007. Half Marathon Race Day Report. I ran in the Houston Half Marathon this morning. My goal was to run an 8:30 overall pace and I ran the race at an 8:29 overall pace. I ran the first half in 55:56 and the second half in 55:11. My official finish time was 1:50:57. I drank water when I felt like it (usually I have some sort of plan, but it's usually really hot and it wasn't today) and made sure to take two water cups arou...
